Bruce’s Mill: The Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival

Kortright: The Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival

Details: Tap into spring with a magnificent evening that begins with a guided twilight tour of Kortright Maple sugar bush. Taste real maple syrup, visit our sugar shack and learn about old fashioned and modern methods of maple syrup production. Enjoy a warm campfire and a fire-side treat!  Come out and tap into spring! Maple Syrup Festival Horton Tree Farms

(Toronto and Region Conservation)

Date: March 11 to April 16 + April 14 (Sat & Suns plus Good Friday)

Time: 9am – 4pm

Place: HORTON TREE FARMS 14844 Warden Avenue Stouffville

Price: CASH ONLY Admission is $7adult, $6 student/senior and $5 kids 5-12 (4 and under free), Dogs on leash welcome (please bring cash - We aren't equipped for debit or credit cards)

Details: self-guided and guided tours (lessons in maple syrup production, trees, nature appreciation and ecology, wagon rides, sap and syrup samples, log cabins, museum, hiking trails, pancakes, pure maple syrup and maple products, hot drinks Dress warmly and wear boots - expect snow or mud

42nd Annual Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival

(Durham Region Area)

Details: See how maple syrup was made over 400 years ago through to the modern methods of today, take a horse-drawn wagon ride and enjoy some hot pancakes.  Please wear appropriate footwear and dress for cooler weather.

 Events activities: Oshawa Community Museum, Scugog Shores Museums and Windreach Farm will also be hosting hands-on activities at the festival. Although recyclable plates and utensils are available, we ask the public to bring reusable plates and utensils to enjoy your pancakes on, as well as your own shopping bags to hold Heritage Store purchases.

Details: MapleFest Starts tomorrow!!! Get your family together for a fun day at the Sugar Shack. We have wagon rides to our Sugar Shack, Pancake breakfast and lots more fun family activities. Maplefest is happening all March Break long March 10-19 (10-3 pm daily)Sno-Cone – Watch us make a homemade snow-cone with fresh, pure maple syrup! We taste tested them, and we approve! $3 each,  Paint a Tree Cookie – Paint a slice of a tree from our forest and take it home as a souvenir $2 each, Tree Branding – Warm up by the bonfire, and get a Willowtree-branded tree cookie to take home as a souvenir! $2 each

Only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays: Bonfire and FREE Roasted Marshmallows – Free. Animals – We will have animals out to greet the kiddos – weather dependent on which and how many animals we will have out! We don’t want them to be too cold! Brrr! Details: There’s nothing more Canadian than freshly harvested Maple Syrup!  Come celebrate the start of spring in Historic Downtown Bowmanville, on the first Saturday in May. This highly anticipated festival showcases many of our local syrup producers who offer up the best of the region.  Maple products abound at MAPLEFEST and you will be delighted to find treats such as maple donuts, cheese, candy, nuts, fudge, and so much more.   Stroll along four city blocks to explore unique items from our craft and food vendors. Make sure to arrive early so you can enjoy our famous hot pancake breakfast while being entertained by live musicians.  The children will be thrilled to see our friends from the Bowmanville Zoo and enjoy the many kid-friendly activities. Your visit wouldn't be complete without browsing through the many independent shops and restaurants in Historic Bowmanville.  So come down and SHOP!  DINE!  DISCOVER!
