This site is a resource to caregivers and familiesto view information and find fun things to do. All kinds of events are posted here across the Druham Region, from Newcastle Area to Pickering, and North to Port Perry. A scheduale of all events is on one page, while other pages list local farms, zoos, splash pads, museums, play centres along with many more.
History
June 2014 I started a Facebook group called Summer Frugal Fun for local moms to meet and visit different local places for kids to socialize together. With many members joining and no responces to get togther I decided to change the direction of the group for others to view information instead. Starting at about 40 members it has now grown to over 1,160 members . There has been an amazing community of people who have joined and help share events they find as well as ask and answer questions. This site is becoming an additional way for other people in our community to access this information.

My name is Valerie, I am a stay at home mom with 3 wonderful kids and a wonderful fiance. I love seeing new things and enjoy road tripping to many new places. I hope to see East to West coast of Canada, as well as many other countries over my life.

My 3 kids love going on adventures, road trips and anything exciting. They are very energetic and love experincing events I find. I constantly make our summers, breaks and any free time fulll of soo many little adventures that they get super excited about

Jen has been an amazing sidekick in helping me over the last few summers gather pictures of parks and splash pads. She is an amazing photographer, super mom, great blogger and a very amazing person to know. I can't thank Jen enough for helping me with the splash pads pages, as well as helping to keep me up to date on all sorts of updates on parks.
